Before you pack

2 points

  1. Pre-register sports equipment at time of booking since acceptance is space-available, not guaranteed.
  2. Boards over 203 cm (80 in) are flatly not accepted -- measure the bag, not just the board.

What riders report at the counter

2 reports

  • Riders noticed the change when Air Canada first formalized a specific kiteboard line-item and fee in its baggage rules, rather than lumping kites in with generic oversize items.
  • The surfboard fee is quoted as $100 in places and $50 in others, which points to inconsistent application or a rate that has since changed — ask when you book.
