- JetSMART's own FAQ explicitly recommends paying for oversized baggage online at booking, stating it is cheaper than paying at the airport; the online price runs about CLP 15,000-19,000 and more than doubles at the airport, though JetSMART's current fare table does not print the figure.

Before you pack

- Surfboards get a linear-dimension exception up to 300cm versus the normal 158-230cm range for other oversized sports items - useful if declaring a board bag.
- Equipment without a rigid case must be fully wrapped (cardboard, foam, plastic wrap) covering all protruding ends, or it can be refused at the counter.
- A signed Limited Release of Liability waiver is required for oversized/sports equipment.
