It's deep water rather than a lagoon — 0.5-1m chop, small swells, and lessons taught from a boat through H&S Water Sports.

Downtown Aqaba itself is quiet and conservative, so this is a resort-compound scene, not a town one.

It suits kiters bolting a few sessions onto a Petra-and-Wadi Rum desert trip rather than building a dedicated kite holiday around it.
