Country
Montenegro
Montenegro's entire kite scene sits on one stretch of Ulcinj coastline.
Velika Plaza is the anchor: a 12-14km sand beach worked by multiple schools, catching the afternoon Maestral thermal side-onshore. Ada Bojana, at the Bojana River delta on its southern end, adds river-channel flat water beside the same sea-facing beach for lessons and progression.
Two spots, one town, a short May-to-September thermal season - a compact add-on rather than a standalone trip.
The Montenegro country guide — entry rules, money, driving and local kite rules — is not written yet.
When to go
month by month, from the towns' own wind series
share of days the windiest town in season is windy
July is the strongest month on this page: Ulcinj at 42% of days, from the Ada Bojana series.
No place here is in season in January, February, March, April, October, November and December, so those months carry no figure rather than a zero.
modelled
A weather model's cell over this place, not a station on it. Good for comparing places, weaker for one beach.
Which place is yours
the most spots first
The cards are in the order of how many spots each place holds. None of them carries a wind score: the atlas scores wind reliability one spot at a time, against a named weather station and the distance to it, and a place that groups several spots has no single station to stand behind one number. The month calendar above is what this page can say about the wind.
By region

The same places as the cards above, by name, in the order this country guide lists them rather than the biggest first.
