Country
Panama
Panama's kite scene is a single address: Punta Chame, a narrow Pacific peninsula in Panamá Oeste about two hours from Panama City.
The north side of the peninsula holds a flat home lagoon, sandbars and mangrove-lined bay water alongside a wide sandy beach, enough range for lessons, freestyle and freeride in one bay. Season runs December to April. There's no second option in the country, so the trip lives or dies on this one spot.
The Panama country guide — entry rules, money, driving and local kite rules — is not written yet.
When to go
month by month, from the towns' own wind series
No month-by-month figure for this country
None of its places carries a wind series this page can read, so there is no monthly share to draw.
Which place is yours
the most spots first
Single spots with no town of their own
The cards are in the order of how many spots each place holds. None of them carries a wind score: the atlas scores wind reliability one spot at a time, against a named weather station and the distance to it, and a place that groups several spots has no single station to stand behind one number. The month calendar above is what this page can say about the wind.
The same places as the cards above, by name, in the order this country guide lists them rather than the biggest first.
