Cherry BeachToronto, Lake Ontario20262026: motorised personal watercraft are banned within 150 m of shore at Cherry Beach under the city watercraft safety plan approved on 22 April 2026, enforced by the police marine unit; commercial jet-ski rental is banned across the whole Toronto waterfront for the 2026 season, with a permit pilot floated for 2027. Funding for the boundary buoys was still unsettled when council approved the plan, so the line is not marked on the water and a jet ski may not know where it is.
