Kitesurfing in Northern Region
2 spots · 1 destination
Malta's northern tip works two spots off the same Marfa peninsula shoreline through the October-to-April season.
Mellieħa Bay, also called Għadira Bay, is the island's largest sandy stretch and its default lesson venue, shallow and forgiving until swimmer zones and power lines crowd the small launch; Armier Bay next door is a smaller, rockier bay short on documented rescue or schools.
Northern Region holds 2 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 1 destination. The season runs January to May. 1 of them suits beginners. The busiest areas are Mellieħa, northern Malta.

Mellieħa BayMellieħa, northern Malta20262026: the controlling rule is the swimmer zone, not a kite permit.
Armier BayMellieħa - Armier, northern Malta20262026, check locally before rigging: kitesurfing on Malta beaches is reportedly not allowed during the summer tourist season, given as June-September, with kiting practical outside that window.
Each block is the opening of the record's own rule, kept in its own words. Where two postings do not line up, both are kept and neither is picked for you.
