Before you pack
3 points
- Submit the sports equipment booking and signed Declaration of Transport form at least 24 hours before departure -- late/undeclared boards risk being refused
- Keep to 32kg and 250cm to avoid needing cargo shipment
- Bestfly (Cabo Verde's other/regional operator) publishes no baggage policy for kite gear -- confirm directly with Bestfly if booking inter-island flights with them
What riders report at the counter
2 reports
- Riders have paid EUR 50 for continental flights or EUR 100 for intercontinental flights to bring one kite bag plus a normal bag, capped at 32kg total — that sits close to, but not on, the airline's own EUR 100 figure, and the gap probably reflects different fare or route conditions
- Once the sports equipment fee is paid, the rider can generally also bring one additional normal checked bag
