Before you pack
4 points
- Register sports baggage online via 'My booking' as early as possible - at minimum 8 hours ahead, but earlier is safer since space isn't guaranteed.
- Business Class travelers can check one kite/board setup (up to 30kg) completely free.
- Combine board + kites + bar/lines into a single bag under 30kg - the kiteboard allowance covers 'max. 2 boards, 3 kites, bar/steering and safety lines' per the official limits.
- Partner-operated flights (Helvetic Airways, German Airways) have stricter size limits than mainline Condor - check before booking a codeshare leg.
What riders report at the counter
2 reports
- Registering less than 8 hours before departure, or not at all, means the equipment can be refused if the cargo hold is already fully booked, and last-minute airport bookings cost significantly more
- SkiingMag's 'Der Sportgepäck-Preisvergleich' notes Condor prices vary by the six geographic zones and recommends using Condor's own price calculator for an exact figure per route.
