Before you pack
3 points
- Pre-register kite gear online or via the call center well before travel - un-registered bags risk refusal, not just the EUR7.50/leg surcharge.
- One EUR65 fee covers up to 30kg, generally enough for a full kite quiver (board + kites + bar + harness) in a single bag.
- Fees and exact terms can differ slightly between the separate national TUI fly operators (Germany, Belgium, Netherlands) - check the specific booking country's site.
What riders report at the counter
3 reports
- One rider found TUI 'pretty reasonable': a 32kg sports bag to Cancun cost GBP 64 return when pre-booked.
- A TUIfly Belgium passenger was charged EUR 525 for an extra bag at the airport. Not kite gear, but it shows how steep the at-airport rate gets when nothing is pre-registered.
- Pre-register kiteboarding gear through the TUIfly website or call center — an unregistered kite bag risks being refused at the airport, not just surcharged.
