Before you pack
2 points
- Oversized item weight still counts against your purchased checked-baggage weight allowance - buy enough kg separately from the oversized item handling fee
- Pack any board/kite bag with a single side under 1m if possible to avoid the oversize fee entirely
What riders report at the counter
1 report
- Australian kiteboarders treat Jetstar as the go-to low-cost carrier for gear because of its flat AUD 25 (roughly "$1/kg"-style) oversize pricing, against Virgin Australia since Virgin tightened its sporting-equipment allowance
