Before you pack
3 points
- Book special/sports baggage online via 'My Bookings' in advance rather than paying at the airport.
- Items up to 30 kg get the flat special-baggage rate; between 30-32 kg an excess charge of EUR 10/kg/route applies, and anything over 32 kg is refused as checked baggage and must go as cargo -- keep a kite quiver bag under 30 kg.
- Arrive at the airport early with sports equipment; check-in requires declaring the item's nature, dimensions, weight and container.
