Iran
Iran's kite scene is a single confirmed spot: Kish Kite Beach, a dedicated roughly 3,000-square-metre launch on the west side of Kish Island near Kolbeh Hoor.
The water is Persian Gulf chop, sandy with a shallow-to-deep bottom, and the season runs November through February. There is no wider network here, just this one island beach, so it suits riders passing through the Gulf who want a rare destination ticked off rather than a trip built around it.
The Iran country guide — entry rules, money, driving and local kite rules — is not written yet.
When to go
month by month, from the towns' own wind series
No month-by-month figure for this country
None of its places carries a wind series this page can read, so there is no monthly share to draw.
Which place is yours
the most spots first
Single spots with no town of their own
The cards are in the order of how many spots each place holds. None of them carries a wind score: the atlas scores wind reliability one spot at a time, against a named weather station and the distance to it, and a place that groups several spots has no single station to stand behind one number. The month calendar above is what this page can say about the wind.
The same places as the cards above, by name, in the order this country guide lists them rather than the biggest first.
