Ngwe Saung, a beach resort strip on the Bay of Bengal about five hours from Yangon, is the only place with an established kite operation, riding best January-February and October-December.

Chaung Tha and Ngapali are beach towns with watersports rentals rather than dedicated kite centers, worked only when conditions cooperate.

It's a budget, low-infrastructure destination for riders willing to take a bumpy bus ride over a guaranteed session.
