Western Australia's Perth spots share the Fremantle Doctor, the southwest sea breeze that turns Scarborough into wave riding and splits Woodman Point into three beaches by ability, from beginner sand to advanced-only offshore flat water.
Safety Bay's Pond adds a small flat-water pocket reserved for freestyle riders who can already hold an upwind track, while Lancelin, further north, pairs a beginner-friendly reef-protected bay with advanced outer breaks. Exmouth's Graveyards Beach is advanced-only reef wave riding from August to March.

LancelinPerth - Lancelin20262026: Do not launch or land kites on the grassed area next to the windsurfing school and sea rescue building; local rangers can issue fines for this.
Sandy BayExmouth20262026: Sandy Bay sits inside Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park.
Scarborough BeachPerth20262026: no permit is needed for a private, non-commercial session.
Graveyards BeachExmouth20262026: Cape Range National Park entry fees apply and no dogs or pets. Do not ride offshore directions, stay outside the snorkelling areas and keep away from the turtles.
Point WalterPerth20262026: no kiting east of the jetty, which is families and swimmers in summer. Keep off the fenced Tern Sanctuary on the island north of the sandbar, November to February each year.
Woodman PointPerth2026has a date window2026: stay out of the Fairy Tern nesting area around the Woodman Point groyne, closed between the marked buoys from 1 September to 31 January. Walking in the dunes and through the rehabilitation areas is prohibited.
