Kitesurfing in Belize District

2 spots · 1 destination · 2 schools

Belize's two documented spots both sit inside the Belize Barrier Reef, which strips out the swell and leaves shallow, clear lagoon water: The Split at the north end of Caye Caulker, and Boca del Rio on Ambergris Caye near San Pedro.

NE-to-SE trade winds run side-onshore to onshore from November through May, flat and forgiving enough for beginners with school support, while conditions outside the reef step straight up to advanced.
