Hua Hin has been a Gulf kite destination since a center opened there in 2001, its sandy town beach running south toward Khao Takiab with side-onshore wind that suits lessons.
Thirty kilometers south, Pak Nam Pran spreads over a long tidal beach with shallow teaching sandbanks, and Khao Kalok marks its southern end below the Skull Mountain headland, where the wind turns more east and stronger riders head for the rocks. The whole coast runs November into April or May.
