- July-August brings beach crowding, and swimmers and boats are possible under the 2026 bathing ordinance; the beach is not free of swimmer or boat traffic.
- A bridge and a mole come up as hazards, especially in high or gusty wind; their exact position is unconfirmed.
- Port/approach areas and the first 200 m bathing zone are regulated under the 2026 Porto Santo Stefano ordinance.
- Southerly/winter winds can create small waves; stronger Maestrale can create short chop farther out.
- At the western end of the bay, towards the port, the beach was replaced years ago by a rock barrier and a walkway; shore access there is poor and it is not a place to be blown onto.
