Cross-onshore from the right on the main beaches: E to ESE arriving lateral-onshore at Ponta do Santo Cristo, so a drifting rider is carried along the sand rather than away from it.
Some local descriptions of the same beach call it side to side-offshore from the right, so treat the offshore component as real and stay upwind of the point.
In July and August the wind can swing south and turn gusty, blowing onshore on some beaches and offshore (terral) on others.
