Shivrajpur Beach has no other spot on this map within 40 km of it. straight-line distance

Shivrajpur is a Blue Flag-certified beach about 14.5km from Dwarka railway station, one of only eight Indian beaches to hold that certification when it was first awarded. What it is known for is clear water, scuba diving and a kite-flying festival, not kiteboarding, and there is no resident kite school or rescue on site.
Every wind number attached to this beach is borrowed. The nearest documented kite spot is Okha, roughly 20km up the same Gulf of Kutch coast, which sees N-to-NW winter wind (Nov-Mar) at 15-25kt on 10-14m kites, side-shore on its west-facing beach. That is the closest available proxy for what Shivrajpur itself might see, not a direct measurement.
A marine protected area runs along this coast, a sanctuary since 1980 with a national park core since 1982, documented as spanning Okha to Jodiya; whether it reaches Shivrajpur, which sits west and south of Okha toward Dwarka, is not established. Come self-sufficient, or ride at Okha instead.

Every wind figure here is regional, borrowed from the Okha kite spot ~20km away, and none of it was measured at Shivrajpur. Okha runs N-to-NW winter wind (Nov-Mar), side-shore on its W-facing beach, 15-25kt, with the peak season Oct-Mar. An earlier version of this record labelled the same data 'NE'; the direction as published now is N/NW, not NE.

modelled

A weather model's cell over this place, not a station on it. Good for comparing places, weaker for one beach.

Modelled from weather reanalysis on a 10–25 km grid (2022-2024), not a ground station: reliable for trade and synoptic winds, understates thermal sea breezes and valley winds. The typical daily max and the direction are columns of the table above, month by month. Highlighted months are the riding season from the spot record.

Your level

No resident kite school and no rescue at Shivrajpur, so it suits riders who bring their own gear and their own safety plan. Whether a beginner could ride depends entirely on the day, and the only conditions data is the Okha set from 20km away.

    Rider tips

    • Ride Okha, ~20km away, if you want any rental or gear support; at Shivrajpur you are on your own.
    • Do not plan a session around the January kite festival here: it is a kite-flying event, not kiteboarding.
    • Ask locally before rigging, because of the marine protected area, even though its documented Okha-Jodiya boundary may not reach this stretch.
    • Give the swimmers, the scuba boats and the jet skis room; this is a day-trip beach first.
