Before you pack
3 points
- Always book special baggage online in advance via Manage My Booking -- gate/airport pricing runs several times higher than pre-booked online pricing.
- Double-check the current max length (recently cut to 200cm) before packing a long board bag, since the older 300cm figure still circulates.
- Given the reported mishandling incident, consider photographing the bag at drop-off and keeping the baggage tag/receipt for the special-equipment fee in case of a claim.
What riders report at the counter
2 reports
- One board bag never made it onto the flight, was hard to trace through customer service, ended up left behind in Nantes, and took a struggle to get the special-baggage fee reimbursed.
- The maximum board-bag length was recently reduced to 2 m, down from a previous 3 m allowance -- worth reconfirming close to travel date.
