Country

Tunisia

Djerba carries the country on two lagoons: Souk el Guebli on the island's south side near the El Kantara causeway, and Smile Beach, a 32-square-kilometer shallow lagoon on the north side where Globalkite has run schools since 2003. Both are flat, sandy and current-free, with Souk el Guebli's season running March-September and Smile Beach's stretching into the winter months as well.

It's a two-spot, lagoon-only destination built for learning and easy freeride rather than wave riding.

The Tunisia country guide — entry rules, money, driving and local kite rules — is not written yet.

share of days the windiest town in season is windy

June is the strongest month on this page: Souk el Guebli (El Kantara) & Smile Beach (Sidi Smaël) at 52% of days, from the Souk el Guebli (El Kantara) series.

No place here is in season in October, so those months carry no figure rather than a zero.

modelled

A weather model's cell over this place, not a station on it. Good for comparing places, weaker for one beach.

Which place is yours

the most spots first

The cards are in the order of how many spots each place holds. None of them carries a wind score: the atlas scores wind reliability one spot at a time, against a named weather station and the distance to it, and a place that groups several spots has no single station to stand behind one number. The month calendar above is what this page can say about the wind.
