What is the water like at Grand Anse?
It combines flat, protected lagoon water inside with reef waves outside, on a long sandy beach.
Do you need a car?
Yes - public buses (routes 61-63) only run Monday-Friday, roughly 6am-7pm, so a rental car around SR1,300/day is the practical option, especially on weekends.
How do you get to Praslin?
Fly from Mahé on a short Air Seychelles domestic hop, or take the Cat Cocos ferry from Victoria Pier to Baie Sainte Anne, about an hour.
Where should you base yourself?
Cote D'Or/Anse Volbert is the main tourist strip with restaurants and dive shops; Grand Anse itself is quieter and puts you right by the kite spot.
What is the nightlife like?
Limited - Praslin has far less nightlife and restaurant density than Mahé, so come with realistic expectations for evenings.
