Two spots, at opposite ends of the calendar.
Ada Foah, where the Volta meets the Gulf of Guinea, is a broad estuary with surf on its seaward side and estuary current and boat traffic inside; June through August is its window, and the wind is light, monthly means of 5.3-6.7 knots, so bring the big kite and local support. Kokrobite Beach is the other kind of water: an exposed beach break with rocks in the line-up, December to February, for intermediates and up.
Greater Accra holds 2 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 1 destination. Riding here is mostly waves. The season runs June to August. 1 of them suits beginners.
