Kitesurfing in Talsi novads

2 spots · 1 destination

Two modest Gulf of Riga beaches carry this stretch of the Talsi coast.

Roja sits north of the harbour mole on sandy, shallow water with chop and small waves, best worked on northerly through easterly synoptic wind. Mērsrags trades that for a lagoon-plus-sea setup near Engure Lake Nature Park, pulling freeriders and freestylers south when Bērzciems fills up.

Talsi novads holds 2 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 1 destination. The season runs May to October. Every spot suits beginners. The busiest areas are Cape Kolka.
