- Walk the launch and the downwind exit before you rig: rocks, concrete, reef sections over sand.
- Do not go out underpowered in the waves; light wind with powerful waves is the flagged danger here.
- Base yourself in Agadir or Tiznit if you need gear, repairs or a wider choice of beds.
- Ask the Aglou surf operators about currents and exposed rock on the day, especially around the tide change.
- Bring a full suit, 3 mm or a 3/2; the air is warm here and the water is not.
