Boca Paila / Sian Ka'an

South of Tulum, the coastline along the Boca Paila road enters the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site spanning over 5,000 sq km of coastal wetlands, reef and jungle. It's a remote, largely undeveloped stretch of Caribbean coast offering uncrowded flat-to-choppy water for kiters willing to make the drive.
