Tulum (Kite Beach)

Tulum's Caribbean coastline is famous for brilliant turquoise water and some of the whitest sand beaches in Mexico, backed by the clifftop Maya ruins at its northern end. The offshore barrier reef breaks up the swell, creating a mix of flat, protected pockets and small reef waves along the beach - a versatile setup that has made the area's kite beach a fixture of the Riviera Maya kite scene, set against the backdrop of Tulum's beach-hotel zone.
