Buen Hombre
Buen Hombre is a remote fishing village on the Dominican Republic's northwest coast whose reef-protected lagoon gives beginners flat, shallow water to learn in, while the trade winds here are reported to blow more consistently than at Cabarete further east. Kite Buen Hombre, an IKO-affiliated school operating since 2013, runs lessons, rentals and boat excursions (including trips out to the Cayos Siete Hermanos) from the beach.
