Klitmøller
Klitmøller, nicknamed 'Cold Hawaii,' is Denmark's most famous wind-sports destination on the North Sea coast of Thisted Municipality, about 11 km southwest of Hanstholm. A former fishing village transformed by its consistently strong, curving-wave conditions, it has hosted European and World Cup windsurfing/kitesurfing/surfing competitions since the 1990s and is one of Europe's premier beach-break wave spots, generally suited to advanced riders.
