Small launch and landing beside the lagoon and channel: flat water, a tight patch of ground, and concrete, stones and buoys to work around. Pedestrian and car access is easy off the LZ-67, with a promenade, parking and kiosks along the 940 m Ria de la Santa beach and nautical rentals on it.

- 2026: no kite-specific rule, launch corridor or navigation zone has been found for the lagoon.
- The lake is public maritime-terrestrial domain. In 2017 Tinajo council voted unanimously to demand the concession from the national coastal authority and to keep the water free for everyone, opposing a cable-ski installation of towers up to 10 m over about 736 m2 of the surface that a private company had been applying for since 2013.No concession outcome has been published since.
- 2026: the resort water sports centre publishes windsurf, SUP, kayak and wingfoil in the lagoon and does not list kitesurfing; its hours are 09:00-18:00, 17:00 in winter, and equipment is lent to guests.
- The marsh between the lake and La Santa village is protected Natura 2000 bird habitat and is not a place to walk kites or land.
Access rules drift faster than anything else we hold — check locally, and propose an edit if this has changed.

Rider tips
- Ask at Club La Santa or a local school before you rig a kite in the lagoon; the current resort pages do not advertise kite use there.
- Bring shoes: there are stones and concrete edges at the launch and the entry.
- Only ride the lagoon when the space is actually clear, because the launch is small.
- Stay out of the protected marsh and bird habitat between the lake and La Santa village.
- Check the Famara forecast first if you want a normal Lanzarote kite session with a school.

The calm lagoon is used for learning windsurf, SUP and wingfoil, but local kite schools mostly teach at nearby Famara, so check with a school before kiting here.
