Sant Pere Pescador is the flagship kite beach of Europe's Golf de Roses, but the destination itself is really a campsite culture: kiters base themselves in one of the big beachfront campsites and kite camps that line the 7km beach rather than in a traditional town, so this suits van-lifers, campers and budget-to-mid travelers far more than anyone wanting hotel polish or club nightlife.

Sant Pere Pescador is campsite culture, not a town-based kite trip: kiters base themselves in one of the beachfront campsites along the 7km strip rather than in a hotel. The village of Sant Pere Pescador (pop. 2,290) does have a bank - CaixaBank with a 24-hour ATM at Pl. Catalunya 1 - and a pharmacy, Farmacia Poch Sabater on Carrer del Mar, so it's not as service-thin as it might seem.

Wind truth: Southeast is the clean direction here; North (the Tramontana) comes with gusts, better handled on a bow kite - consistent with the warning elsewhere that this is a shallow, sometimes-choppy bay, not automatically flat freestyle water.
