Praia do Cabedelo (Viana do Castelo)
Regarded as one of the meccas of European kitesurfing, Cabedelo sits on the south bank of the Rio Lima estuary opposite Viana do Castelo, with flat water inside the river mouth for freestyle and small-to-medium waves off the sandbar outside. A combination of the north-coast Nortada and a local thermal boost delivers strong, consistent wind, and the spot works to some degree nearly year-round.
