Shela

Shela village on Lamu Island, part of Kenya's northern Lamu Archipelago, offers sheltered turquoise lagoons for flat-water riding with reef waves further out, under the same Kaskazi/Kuzi trade-wind seasons as the southern Kenyan coast. It is a far more remote and self-sufficient destination than Diani or Watamu, reachable only via Lamu's small airport or boat, with no established kite school infrastructure found in sources.
