Fornells is a real but specialist kitesurf spot in the protected bay on Menorca's north coast, with the practical launch area at Ses Salines.
Son Bou
Son Bou is the longest open sandy beach on Menorca's south coast, below Alaior, and it is a working local kite spot as well as a resort beach.
Cala Tirant
Cala Tirant is the Menorca spot people name first, and on north Tramuntana days it is the one that works.
Punta Prima
Punta Prima is on Menorca's southeast corner, and it is a specialist spot rather than an easy freeride beach.

The Tramontana wind season is strongest from autumn through spring; summer is hot and busy with island tourism, while May and September-October are quieter and pleasant.
Is Fornells suitable for beginners?
Fornells' enclosed bay stays flat and sheltered from open-sea waves, making it one of the safer venues on the island compared with wave-exposed spots.
Where are the wave spots?
Cala Tirant is Menorca's best-documented kite spot and works when the north Tramuntana blows; Punta Prima also breaks over a reef after Mistral or Tramuntana.
