Tatajuba

A remote, end-of-the-road coconut-and-dune settlement beyond Jericoacoara, reached either by a long transfer or as the finish line of a serious downwinder - this is the far frontier of the Ceará kite trail, not a place you stumble into by accident. Suits intermediate-to-advanced kiters and adventure travelers more than first-timers looking for convenience.

transfersPrivate transfer from Fortaleza takes about 4 hours; budget/solo travelers can bus from Fortaleza to Jijoca or Jericoacoara or Camocim and connect onward locally.
car neededEffectively yes for independent travel - it's remote and support vehicles can't follow the full coastal downwind route (a river crossing forces an inland detour).
road quirksSits between Jericoacoara (30km) and Camocim (25km); the classic Jeri-to-Tatajuba downwind route requires a support car to detour inland around a river, since it can't track the kiters along the whole coast.

    Itinerary idea

Best experienced as the finish point of a Jericoacoara downwinder (via Guriu lagoon) rather than a standalone base; use Jeri as your comfort base and Tatajuba as the adventure day/overnight.
