Tobago Cays and Mayreau are a boat-access Grenadines kite area, not a beach you drive to.
Union Island is a working kite base in the southern Grenadines, built around JT Pro Center at Kite Beach near Clifton and Happy Kite at Frigate/Ashton.
Moonhole is on the south-west tip of Bequia, in the Grenadines, a short walk from the island's airport.
Mopion is a tiny sand cay in the southern Grenadines, off Petit St Vincent, reached by boat from Union Island and by nothing else.

Is Union Island suitable for beginners?
The main Kite Beach spot near Clifton gives clear, warm, flat lagoon water, but it is not an unsupervised beginner free-for-all; schools including JT Pro Center and Happy Kite operate there.
Do you need a car?
No. The island is small and quiet enough to get around on foot, by golf cart or by taxi; the outer cays, including Tobago Cays, Mayreau, Palm Island and Petit St Vincent, are reached by boat rather than road.
How do you get there?
Union Island Airport has direct flights from Barbados, Martinique and St Lucia plus regional hops from other islands, and the MV Jaden Sun fast ferry runs from Kingstown, St Vincent, in about 2.5 hours.
Where should you base yourself?
Clifton, the largest settlement with the airport, ferry dock and restaurants, suits most visitors, while Ashton offers more distance from the harbour bustle. Mayreau or Bequia work as alternative bases along the same ferry line.
Is there anything to check before booking?
Hurricane Beryl caused damage here in July 2024, so it is worth confirming the current status of accommodation, ferries and infrastructure directly before travel.
