- Wait for proper ENE/E trades; marginal wind and an onshore launch is a bad combination here.
- Wear boots or wade carefully, because Bequia's windward bays carry coral heads and the bottom at Spring Bay is not documented.
- Look for floating sargassum before you rig.
- Get current conditions from the Union Island schools or from riders on Bequia, because Spring Bay has no school and no documented rescue.

Airport
J. F. Mitchell Airport (Bequia/BQU) is the nearest airport; Argyle International Airport on Saint Vincent plus ferry to Port Elizabeth is the main international access route.
Route
Spring Bay is reached by car with no walk from the road. Arrivals at Argyle normally take a taxi to the Kingstown ferry dock and cross to Bequia; there are also direct Barbados-Bequia flights, or Barbados or Saint Vincent plus the ferry.
Transfer
About 15 minutes by car from the west and central Bequia accommodation area is reported for nearby Industry Bay; the Spring Bay time depends on where you start.
