Laguna de Chascomús, 120 km south of the capital, gives freshwater flat-to-chop water with roads circling the lake so riders pick a launch by wind direction, rideable November through May. On the coast, Mar del Plata pairs big waves at Playa Grande with intermediate-friendly Chapadmalal, while Necochea, further south, stretches 64 km with a river-mouth break at Quequén for intermediates.

Punta RasaPunta Rasa - San Clemente19911991: Punta Rasa is a municipal natural reserve of the Partido de La Costa, declared by Ordenanza 1023 and Decreto 380 after being run as a biological station from 1984. The surrounding Bahia Samborombon wetland was listed under the Ramsar convention in 1997.
ChascomúsChascomús20252025: Decreto No. 900/25 sets the zoning under Ordenanza No. 1320/1981: balneario areas and a bather and fishing zone 150 m out, buoyed, which drops to 100 m when the lagoon is low.
Mar del PlataMar del Plata20192019: General Pueyrredon Ordenanza No 24089, dated 22 April 2019, governs kitesurfing and kiteboarding. Article 2 requires properly homologated equipment and the use of helmet, flotation vest and kite harness.
