Kitesurfing in Lower Saxony

4 spots · 1 destination · 2 schools

Lower Saxony's spots run on the Wadden Sea tide rather than big wind: Norddeich, Neuharlingersiel and Schillig all shift from standing-depth shallows to chop as the water moves, with Schillig's sandy flat the largest of the three.

Inland, Steinhuder Meer's Mardorfer Strand runs a VDWS school on a buoyed shallow shelf off Mardorf. All four are rated fine for beginners provided riders stick to the marked zones and tide windows.
