Kitesurfing in Rīga

4 spots · 1 destination

Riga's kiting splits between open Gulf beaches and a sheltered urban lake: Ķīšezers offers four launch points and flatter water suited to foiling and twintip freestyle, while Vecāķi's wide sandy beach and gradual bottom handle everything from first lessons to big air.

Vakarbuļļi adds Gulf chop just west of the city, and Daugavgrīva, at the river mouth, is reserved for advanced wave riders. Synoptic wind runs May to October.
