Anino Kite Resort sits on Victoria Beach, also called Quejano, on the east coast of Cuyo Island in Palawan, and the resort is the spot: a 400 m private sand beach, a chest-deep lagoon that does not get crowded, and the Amihan arriving onshore slightly from the left. Ride the lagoon, or go out over the reef into the waves.

Depth and season

The beach as a whole runs shallow in places and deep in others, with reef waves breaking and side-onshore wind. Amihan is strongest December-February and generally usable November-April. Tide matters more than the older notes let on: Victoria Beach wants 0.5-0.7 m of water under you and works with the tide rather than against it.

Schools and rescue

Lessons and rental are on site, and Cuyo Watersports in town handles instruction and repairs. Rescue is the gap, nothing dedicated is on site, so confirm cover, tide windows and the ferry schedule before you build a short trip around this.

Minimum booking is 3 nights, and guests are permitted to give kiteboarding lessons to friends. Non-guests have been charged a 50-peso beach fee to use Anino's sand; the year of that price is unconfirmed. No 2026 municipal kitesurfing ordinance or permit rule for Victoria/Quejano Beach was found.

Budget a few minutes from Cuyo Airport to the resort, or about 20 minutes by tricycle from Cuyo Port.
Confirm ferry dates with the resort before you book flights, because island schedules move.
Ask for the day's minimum tide height before planning a lesson at Victoria Beach.
Bring cash pesos and spare kite parts; exchange and replacements on Cuyo are thin.
Pack booties for the reef edges and the urchins, especially while you are learning.
Carry a quiver for strong Amihan and for a light shoulder-season day; do not assume every day is 20+ kt.
Budget a few minutes from Cuyo Airport to the resort, or about 20 minutes by tricycle from Cuyo Port. The resort will fetch you for 300 PHP from the airport, 500 PHP from the port.
Time the trip so high water lands around midday or earlier; on spring tides you only get one high tide in 24 hours.
Renting on site runs about 1,400 PHP an hour or 4,400 PHP a day for kite, board and harness, so a full quiver in the bag pays for itself on a long stay.
