Barra Grande (Piauí)

Barra Grande is a laid-back coastal village on Brazil's 'Delta Coast' near the mouth of the Parnaíba River, and the traditional finish/turnaround point of the famous Ceará-to-Piauí downwind trail. Side-onshore trade winds and a mix of flat lagoon and choppy ocean water made it a stop on the PKRA world tour in 2014, and it remains a launch point for further downwind trips into the Parnaíba Delta.
