- Take the coastal road or the motorbike trail south to Ngwe Saung when Chaung Tha gets too crowded.
- Bring your own kite gear: the rentals here are general beach watersports, not a kite centre.
- Allow about 5 hours by bus or car from Yangon, and book ahead between October and April.
- Watch for the fishing boats working offshore and for swimmers on a beach that is used for swimming first.
