Ngwe Saung

Ngwe Saung is a 15km-long, silvery-sand beach in Ayeyarwady Region, about 48km west of Pathein and roughly 5 hours' drive from Yangon. Developed from 2000 as a higher-budget alternative to nearby Chaung Tha, it is rated by regional watersports operators as having the best all-round wind and conditions for kiting in Myanmar, though the destination remains lightly developed with limited nightlife.
