El Cotillo
On Fuerteventura's northwest coast, El Cotillo is a fast, powerful beach break that draws experienced wave riders on N/W swells, quite different from the flatter, more sheltered spots around Corralejo. The village sits beside some of the archipelago's best-rated beaches (La Concha, Los Lagos), but the open-ocean kite break itself is a side-on, sometimes gusty wave spot with a long, rock-and-sand bottom.
