Katsuren Peninsula

On Okinawa's main island, the Katsuren Peninsula and its Kaichu Doro causeway link a chain of small islands over turquoise, shallow water, giving kiters a warm-water alternative to mainland Japan a short drive from Naha. The area is windy on the large majority of days, though quality is best from April through November.
