Miyakojima (Maehama Beach)

Miyakojima is a subtropical outer island of Okinawa Prefecture famous for Yonaha Maehama, a roughly 7km stretch of powder-white sand backing a shallow turquoise lagoon. It has become Japan's most popular warm-water kite getaway, with wind on the vast majority of days and several beaches around the island to choose from depending on direction.

Station: Hirara (WeatherSpark (MERRA-2 reanalysis climatology), ~7 km) — Windfinder blocked (HTTP 429) this session; WeatherSpark modeled climatology used instead, so prob_ge_4bft_pct is null. Hirara is the main town on Miyakojima, ~7 km from Maehama Beach on the south coast — reasonable island-wide proxy given the small island size. Data aligns well with the batch's known winter (NE monsoon) best-months window.
