Shallow Inlet
Shallow Inlet is a large, flat tidal embayment on the western side of the Yanakie Isthmus, three kilometres east of the small holiday town of Sandy Point and near Wilsons Promontory National Park. Wikipedia's Sandy Point article describes it as "a good area for windsurfing and kitesurfing" and notes it has hosted speed sailing records, including a yacht breaking the 50-knot (93 km/h) barrier there in 2009 — evidence of very flat, wind-exposed conditions distinct from Victoria's already-documented bay/beach spots (Altona, Rye, St Kilda).
