Tannum Sands Beach
Tannum Sands, twinned with Boyne Island across the Boyne River about 25 km southeast of Gladstone, Queensland, is described on Wikipedia as having become "a nationally renowned location" for kiteboarding, a "rapidly growing sport in the region." It hosts the annual Coconet Classic each Easter long weekend — formerly the National Kiteboarding Titles, now run as an open event. This is a first Queensland addition beyond the Gold Coast (Narrowneck / The Spit) spots already on file.
